I have trained in voice over at the City Lit College London on both radio and voice over.
I had been sent a last minute audition to self tape for quite a big TV project. Given very little time to prep before it had to be sent off, you can imagine I was very stressed and nervous. Joanne agreed to do a session with me on such short notice and was extremely friendly - she made me feel at ease straight away. We did a lot of character development and went over the sides. Her notes were clear and concise. She also gave me loads of mini exercises and tools that helped enhance my performance - many of which I will be taking away with me for the future. I am definitely someone who doubts themselves quite often, but what’s so refreshing is that Joanne constantly reminds you of self belief and confidence. Being in the industry for many years, she truly cares and understands us actors. She even agreed to give me feedback on the finished product.
